Booking a Group Lesson

This article explains how to book a group lesson and add additional participants.

How to book

The booking flow is the same as a private lesson — choose the offering, pick a date and time, then complete your booking. See Payment options when booking for details on payment methods.

The difference is that you'll see group-specific information during the process.

What's different about group bookings

Seeing available spots

After you select a date and time, the booking page shows how many spots are left (e.g., "3 of 8 spots available"). The badge is green when plenty of spots remain and turns yellow when only a few are left.

Adding participants

In the booking step, you'll fill in a participant form:

  1. Participant 1 (you) — Name and email are required. Phone and notes are optional.

  2. Additional participants — If you want to book multiple seats, tap Add More Participants. Each additional seat costs the lesson price. Only the name is required for additional participants.

If you add an email or phone number for an additional participant, they'll receive a booking notification. This is a good way to make sure your friends or family know the lesson details without you having to forward them manually.

You can remove extra participants by tapping the remove button next to their name.

Sold out sessions

If all spots are taken:

  • If the instructor has waitlist enabled, you'll see a Join Waitlist button. You'll get an email when a spot opens up.

  • If there's no waitlist, the session is unavailable for booking.

You need a real email address on your account to join a waitlist. If you haven't added one yet, you'll see a prompt to do so.

After booking

  • A group chat may be created for the session by your instructor to communicate with you and other participants.

  • The instructor may send messages or updates through the group chat, including SMS notifications.

Good to know

  • You can book multiple seats in one transaction if you're bringing friends or family.

  • Each additional seat adds the lesson price to your total (shown as "X seats x $price = $total" on the confirmation screen).

  • Group lessons cannot be rescheduled by students. If you need to change the time, cancel your booking and rebook a different session.

  • The participant form lets you add notes like special requests, goals, or experience level for each person.
