SMS notifications
Most notifications are sent via SMS to the phone number on your account. These include:

Reschedule requested | The other party |

Lesson invite sent | Student (when instructor books on their behalf) |
Package created | Student (when instructor assigns a package) |
Package purchased | Instructor (when student pays for a package) |
Payment reminder | Student (when instructor sends a reminder for an unpaid lesson or package) |
Waitlist spot available | Students on the waitlist |
Chat message | The other person in a direct chat, or group participants if the instructor enables SMS |
Daily reminder | Both instructors and students — sent at 6 PM the day before a scheduled lesson |
Email notifications
Emails are sent to the address on your account:
Email verification — When you sign up or change your email address.
Booking and lesson updates — Confirmations, cancellations, and status changes.
Daily reminders
You'll receive a daily reminder at 6 PM (based on the instructor's timezone) the day before any scheduled lesson. This reminder includes:
Tomorrow's lessons
Any pending actions (booking requests, reschedule requests, unread messages)
Good to know
To receive email notifications, make sure you have a real email address on your account (not the temporary one created at signup).
SMS messages are sent to the phone number you signed up with.
You cannot change your phone number from account settings — contact SwingMatch support if you need to update it.
Instructors can customize the payment reminder message from their profile settings.
Chat SMS notifications are rate-limited — you'll receive at most one SMS per conversation every 15 minutes.
