Your booking is sent to the instructor
After you confirm your booking, the lesson is created in a Pending Confirmation state. This means the instructor needs to review and accept it before the lesson is finalized.
You'll see a "Booking Request Sent!" notification and be taken to the lesson detail page, which shows the current status.
What the instructor does
The instructor receives a notification about your booking request. They can:
Confirm — The lesson is locked in. If you paid by credit card, the charge goes through at this point.
Decline — The lesson is cancelled. If you paid by credit card, the authorization hold is released.
Reschedule — The instructor suggests a different date or time. You'll be notified and can accept or decline the new time.
Lesson statuses
Status | What it means |
Pending Confirmation | Waiting for the instructor to confirm your booking |
Confirmed | The lesson is happening — both you and the instructor have agreed |
Completed | The lesson took place (lessons are automatically marked complete the day after) |
Declined | The instructor declined the booking request |
Cancelled | You or the instructor cancelled the lesson |
Notifications you'll receive
Email & SMS — Booking confirmation, lesson reminders (the day before), and status updates.
In-app — Status changes appear in your notification center.
To receive email notifications, make sure you've added a real email address in your Account settings.
Good to know
You can view all your lessons from My Lessons in the main menu.
You can cancel your request while it's still pending if you change your mind — tap Cancel Request on the lesson detail page.
