What is a registration window?
By default, students can book a group lesson any time there are spots available. A registration window lets you restrict when booking is open — for example, opening registration a week before the session and closing it 24 hours before.
This is useful for:
Camps and clinics where you need to finalize the participant list in advance.
Popular sessions where you want to open registration at a specific time so everyone has a fair chance.
Planning purposes where you need to lock in attendance before the day of the session.
How to set a registration window
Go to the Lessons tab and tap on a group session.
On the session detail page, find the Registration Window card.
Set one or both fields:
Opens At — the date and time when students can start registering.
Closes At — the date and time when registration stops.
Tap Save.
Both fields are optional. You can set just an open time, just a close time, or both.
What students see
Before registration opens
The session is visible on the booking page with all its details (title, location, dates, pricing).
Booking buttons are disabled.
A message shows: "Registration opens on [date and time]."
While registration is open
Normal booking flow — students can book spots as usual.
After registration closes
The session is still visible and shows who's enrolled.
Booking buttons are disabled.
A message shows: "Registration is closed."
Students who already booked are not affected.
Registration status badge
The Registration Window card shows a live status badge so you can see the current state at a glance:
Badge | Meaning |
Open (green) | Students can register now |
Not Yet Open (blue) | Registration hasn't started yet |
Closed (red) | Registration has ended |
Good to know
Times are entered in your local timezone and stored automatically.
If you set both an open and close time, the open time must be before the close time.
Instructors can always manage students regardless of the registration window. You can add or remove students even when registration is closed.
The registration window only prevents new bookings. It doesn't cancel existing ones.
The waitlist follows the same rules — students can't join the waitlist outside the registration window.
If a student has the booking page open when registration closes, the system will show an error message if they try to submit.
