Why Sync Your Lessons with Apple Calendar?

Keeping track of your lesson schedule is crucial for managing your time effectively. Syncing your SwingMatch lesson availability with Apple Calendar allows you to:

  • Stay organized: Automatically update your Apple Calendar with booked lessons and your availability, if you choose. Visit our calendar integrations article for details on the difference between Lessons and Availability calendars.

  • Receive notifications: Set reminders so you never miss an appointment.

  • Customize your schedule: Choose colors and notification settings that fit your workflow.

  • Access anywhere: View your lessons from any Apple device, including iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

  • Apple is the most up to date calendar you can subscribe to, being updated every 5 minutes or so.

How to Sync Your Lessons with Apple Calendar

SwingMatch makes it easy to add your lesson availability to Apple Calendar. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to Settings:

    • Open the SwingMatch app and click Account > Profile

  2. Find the "Subscribe to your Calendar" option

    • Make sure the Apple Icon is selected (should be by default) and tap on Subscribe to Lessons.

  3. Click Subscribe

    • You will then be directed to your Apple Calendar and will see a subscription URL. Do not modify this text, as this is a personalized link to your lesson schedule.

  4. Customize Your Preferences

    • Choose a calendar color to differentiate your lessons from other events.

    • Set up notifications to get reminders before each lesson. By default, your Apple Calendar notifications will be applied.

    • For example, my default notifications are tied to a location, letting me know when I need to leave if I am not at the location of the event.

    • Don't worry, you can change these settings later.

    • You will also be provided with a preview of events that you will be importing to your calendar, which you can review.

    • Once you have adjusted your settings, click Add. You now have now added your lesson calendar added to you Apple device!

  5. Check Your Calendar

    • Open the Apple Calendar app and look for your synced lessons under the selected calendar. By default, Apple updates this calendar every 5 minutes, so if it does not show up immediately, it may still be importing the events!

    • You can toggle which calendar you see by clicking the Calendars text within the Apple Calendar app at the bottom center of the page.

Now, your lessons will automatically update in Apple Calendar, ensuring you always stay on top of your schedule!
