Lesson invites let you offer specific lesson times—complete with a predefined price, location, and duration—to your golfers. Once they accept, they’ll be prompted to complete payment (or use a package credit) based on your account payment settings.
1. What Are Lesson Invites?
Direct Booking & Payment
You configure a lesson’s time, price, and location, then send a direct invite to your golfer and they are notified via text message. Once they accept, payment is handled seamlessly.Flexible Scheduling
Offer times from your existing availability or create a custom time slot outside your normal schedule.Convenient Payment & Package Use
Golfer pays via credit card (or any method you’ve enabled). If they already have a prepaid package with you, one lesson credit can be applied automatically. This is useful if you like to book your next session with a student at the end of your current session.
2. Why Use Lesson Invites?
Total Flexibility
Go beyond your standard availability when necessary.
Adjust pricing, duration, or description to meet unique requests.
Streamlined Payment
Secure payment before the lesson (or automatically apply a package credit).
Less confusion on the day of the lesson.
Personalized Scheduling
Send invites tailored to individual golfers’ goals, skill levels, or requests.
Reduced No-Shows
Golfers must actively accept and pay (or apply a package credit) to confirm, which lowers the chance of no-shows or last-minute cancellations.
Easy Payment Link
Use invites as a quick payment link for golfers who already have a lesson verbally arranged but still need to pay.
3. How to Create and Send a Lesson Invite
Go to the “Students” Tab
Log in to your instructor dashboard and navigate to the Students section.
Select the Student
Find the student you want to send the invite to and click on their name or profile.
Click the Green “Invite” Button
This is located within the student’s profile on the bottom right of the screen.
Choose Your Lesson Details
Select a Date and Time
Finalize & Send
Review all details: date, time, location, duration, and price.
Click Create Lesson Invite.
The golfer will receive a text message with a link to the platform to login, view and accept the invite.
Canceling an Invite (If Needed)
If the golfer hasn’t accepted yet, you can still cancel it. Go to the Students tab, select the student, and look for the lesson under their Pending tab.
You’ll see a red label indicating the pending lesson invite (e.g., “Lesson Invite, $XX”). Click Delete Invite if you no longer want to offer this slot.
Handling Packages
If the student already has a package purchased, a credit will be automatically deducted once they confirm the lesson.
You can always modify the number of lessons in their package by going to their profile and adjusting the package details as needed. See Lesson Packages for details on how to do this.
4. What the Golfer Sees
Text Message Notification
Logging In
Accept & Pay (or Use Package Credit)
Confirmation
The golfer will receive a confirmation once the invite payment is processed AND the instructor confirms the transaction is accepted and payment/credit is processed.
5. Tips for Maximizing Lesson Invites
Personalize the Lesson
Include a detailed description of what the golfer can expect—e.g., “Focus on short game drills” or “Review the swing videos on YouTube.”
Send Reminders
Follow up if the golfer doesn’t accept the invite after a certain period. Sometimes a simple reminder is all it takes.
Use as a Payment Link
If you’ve already arranged a lesson verbally, send the invite so the golfer can finalize payment online.
Leverage Custom Slots
Fill in any open gaps by creating special time slots.
Give your VIP's special deals or slots outside your availability.
Manage Packages Wisely
Keep an eye on how many credits each student has. Adjust as needed to ensure a smooth booking experience as an invite will automatically deduct a credit, regardless of price, location and duration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I modify the lesson details after the invite is accepted?
A: If a golfer has already accepted and paid, changes to time or price can be done by rescheduling or canceling the existing invite and creating a new one.
Q: Does sending an invite block my schedule?
A: In most cases, the time slot is held as “pending” until the golfer either accepts or the invite is cancelled.
Q: What happens if the golfer never accepts?
A: The lesson remains pending and unconfirmed. The golfer will not be charged, and you’re free to cancel the invite and offer that time to another student if needed.
Conclusion
Lesson invites give you ultimate control over your schedule, pricing, and lesson logistics. By sending invites directly from the Students tab, you can specify all the details, ensure your golfers pay (or use existing credits) in advance, and reduce the risk of no-shows or unpaid sessions.
