Paying for a Lesson with a Credit Card (Students)

This article explains what happens when you pay for a lesson or package using a credit card on SwingMatch.

Updated today

During booking

  1. After selecting your offering, date, and time, check the terms checkbox.

  2. Tap Pay with credit card.

  3. A payment form appears where you enter:

    • Your email address

    • Card details (card number, expiry, CVC)

    • Billing address (if required)

  4. Complete the payment.

Your card is authorized β€” meaning a temporary hold is placed for the lesson amount. You are not charged yet.

When are you actually charged?

The charge only goes through after the instructor confirms the lesson. This protects you in case the instructor declines or you cancel before confirmation.

Scenario

What happens to the payment

Instructor declines

Hold is released, no charge

You cancel before confirmation

Hold is released, no charge

Paying for a package

If you're accepting a package offer that requires credit card payment:

  1. Tap Accept Package on the package detail page.

  2. The Stripe payment form appears.

  3. Enter your card details and complete the payment.

  4. The package activates immediately and you can start using credits.

Good to know

  • The payment amount may include a small booking fee depending on the instructor's settings. If a fee applies, it's shown in the checkout total.

  • SwingMatch uses Stripe for payment processing. Your card details are handled securely by Stripe and never stored by SwingMatch.

  • If you need a refund after a confirmed lesson is cancelled, contact the instructor. They can issue refunds from their Stripe Dashboard.

  • If your card is declined or requires additional verification (3D Secure), you'll see a prompt to complete the verification.
