Removing a Coach from Your Academy

How academy admins remove a coach who has left, and what happens to their outstanding work.

This article is for academy admins. When a coach leaves your academy, you can remove them from your roster from the Coaches tab.

Removing a coach does not delete their SwingMatch account, students, lessons or packages. They come off your academy's public page, dashboard and calendar.

Removing a coach

  1. Go to Academy from the main menu and open the Coaches tab.

  2. Tap Remove next to the coach.

  3. Review the work they're leaving behind (see below).

  4. Tap Remove coach.

Work that needs picking up

Before you confirm, SwingMatch lists what the coach still has outstanding:

  • Upcoming lessons

  • Packages with unused credits

  • Group sessions or camps, with the number of attendees

If there's nothing, you'll see "Nothing outstanding — no lessons, credits or sessions to reassign."

Removing a coach doesn't cancel or move any of this work. Agree with the coach who will look after their upcoming lessons, packages and sessions. Use the list as a guide and check against the original lessons, packages and sessions before you reassign anything.

After you remove a coach

  • The coach moves to Former coaches, with the date they left.

  • Tap View handover to see the outstanding work saved at the time they left: upcoming lessons, outstanding packages, group sessions and active schedules.

  • If your academy has its own booking website, links to the coach's profile there now open their regular SwingMatch page.

Good to know

  • You can't remove yourself or another academy admin. To change who is an admin, contact SwingMatch.

  • To add a coach, see Inviting a Coach to Your Academy.
