Adding Tags and Notes to a Student (Instructors)

Tags and notes help you organize your students and keep track of important details that only you can see.

Updated today

How to add tags

  1. Go to My Students and tap on a student.

  2. On their detail page, find the Tags section.

  3. Add custom labels like "VIP," "Competition Team," "Member," or anything that helps you categorize.

Tags appear on student cards in your list, making it easy to identify students at a glance.

How to add notes

  1. Go to My Students and tap on a student.

  2. Find the Notes section.

  3. Write any internal notes — lesson goals, swing issues to work on, personal preferences, etc.

Notes are private to you. Students cannot see your notes about them.

Searching and filtering your student list

On the My Students page, use the search bar at the top to search by name, email, or phone number. As you type, the list updates to show matching students.

You can also filter by:

  • Offering — Show only students who have booked a specific offering.

  • Tag — Show only students with a specific tag (e.g., "Beginner," "VIP").

Search and filters can be combined. When you clear them, the list returns to its normal grouped view (Needs Action, Upcoming, Regulars, etc.).

How tags and notes help

  • Filter your student list by tag to quickly find specific groups.

  • Booking priority (Pro feature) — Use tags to give certain student groups earlier access to book (e.g., "VIP" students can book further in advance) or provide access to certain groups for certain days of the week.

  • Quick reference — Notes on the student profile are visible when you open a lesson with that student, so you can review context before a session.

Good to know

  • Tags and notes are only visible to you — students cannot see them.

  • You can add as many tags as you need per student.

  • Tags are reusable across your entire student list.
